Oh the vicious cycle!!!
Do you or someone you know suffer from “The more you eat, the more you want to eat” Syndrome??? I know what it’s like to be so full, yet still starving. Do you know how many adults, and especially children are struggling with their weight and obesity in this country? They are addicted to sugar and processed foods, eating more and more but never feeling satisfied.
You see, we can feed ourselves, or our children all day long, but if we are all eating sugar and processed foods, our bodies will continue to feel hungry. Our bodies are not hungry for calories, they are hungry for nutrition! By eating junk food, we are filling our bodies, making our cells work, but not giving them the raw materials they need. We become so full yet starving for vitamins and minerals. Our country is suffering from malnutrition!
When making the shift to eating more nutrient-rich foods, the body will have more of what it needs and you will feel less hungry all the time. Here are a few simple steps to make towards the shift to a healthier life for you and your kids! I also recommend “Integrative Nutrition” By: Joshua Rosenthal, as a great book to read for shifting your harmful habits into healthy ones!
1) Instead of peanut butter and sugar jelly on white bread, spread some peanut butter on a celery stick. Celery is FULL of live water that hydrates your cells and it acts as a great weight loss aid.
2) You can still serve pizza, but make homemade pizza with organic vegetable toppings.
3) You can still have ice cream for dessert, but cut the ice cream serving in half and add fresh, organic fruit on top
Take it slowly, but remember…you are hungry for NUTRITION NOT CALORIES! If you are interested in learning more about how to nourish yourself and/or your family, please email me at [email protected] for a FREE consultation 🙂
